This cover meets the demands and needs of those who wish to insure their gadgets against theft, accidental damage, breakdown for mobiles phones, tablets and smartwatches; accidental loss. This is not a replacement as new policy. Your gadget will be repaired, if possible, and replaced with a like for like refurbished model.

It is important you check that this policy meets your needs and you make sure the information you have given us is correct. You must tell us if this information is wrong, or if it changes. You have responsibility to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation. Should you be careless in answering the questions required to obtain a quotation and subsequently take out cover, or deliberately make a misrepresentation then it may be that this affects our decision to pay a claim.
An excess is payable for each successful claim. Details on the amount are highlighted in section 7 in the policy wording under “WHAT WE WILL NOT COVER”.
To report lost or stolen gadgets to the Police and where applicable your network provider as soon as possible.
Tell us about your claim as soon as possible.
You may need to send us proof of purchase/ownership of the gadget before we will settle your claim.
You must make a reasonable attempt to report a lost or stolen gadget missing to the place it was lost/stolen from.
You need to be able to provide your gadget to support a claim for damage or breakdown, if you are unable to provide this then this will be classed as a lost gadget.
Gadgets need to be in your possession and in good working order prior to the start date of the insurance.
For cover to be in place you must pay the agreed premium and if you make a claim any excess as shown on your schedule.
You can pay your premium as a one off payment annually or in monthly instalments.
Payment can be made by direct debit or debit/credit card.
The insured gadget should be in good and working condition when the policy is purchased.
Any claim made, or any event causing the need for a claim to be made, that occurs within the first 14 days of the inception date of the policy. If your gadget is less than 60 days old on the date you insure it, then this clause does not apply, and your cover begins immediately.
You must be able to provide evidence of ownership in the event of a claim.
The gadget(s) must not be more than 1 years old, must be purchased in the UK as new, or if refurbished, purchased with a full 12-month warranty, and you must be able to provide evidence of ownership when it is requested.
The excess fee must be paid before settling any claim.

Can I claim within the first 14 days?
It depends. You cannot claim within 14 days of the start date of your policy unless your gadget is less than 60 days old on the date you insure it, then this clause does not apply, and your cover begins immediately.
Can I cancel my policy?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of the start date of your policy without charge. Charges may apply if you cancel after 14 days. Please see the policy wording for full details of all charges.
Are cosmetic damages covered?
Damage is only covered if the device is unusable or doesn’t work as it did when it left the factory. For example, if the buttons don’t work, an area on the screen isn’t recognising your touch and obviously if the screen is cracked etc caused by an Oops moment then you’re covered. If our expert engineers are unable to repair, it then we will send you a replacement. Please see terms and conditions.
Is there an excess fee?
Yes. Like most insurance policies we charge an excess that is payable once you make a claim. These are as follows:

Am I covered if I bought my device from an online auction site?
Yes. You can insure devices bought on an auction site provided that they are purchased new and you have a valid Proof of Purchase that details the make, model, condition and IMEI of the gadget in your name. You must have purchased your gadget from a company and not an individual. You can also insure refurbished gadgets purchased from an auction site provided they are sold with 12 months warranty.
Is there an age limit on the gadgets that I to want insure?
Yes – Unless you are renewing your policy the gadget must be less than a year old from when it was purchased.
Am I covered for incidents occurring before my policy start date?
No – Insurance policies only provide cover for incidents that occur after you have purchased a policy.
Will I be charged interest to pay monthly?
Yes – Oops has teamed up with Red Apple Finance to offer monthly payment terms. Red Apple Finance charge 10% interest on a 12 month policy with an APR 19.50%.
How long will my claim take?
This depends on whether the claim is for breakdown, damage or loss and theft. We aim to have you back up and running as soon as possible.
What happens when you replace my device?
If we decide to replace your device instead of repairing it, the replacement may be an identical item of the same age and condition or we will replace it with one of comparable specification or the equivalent value taking into consideration the age and condition of the original item. Where we send you a replacement or repaired item, this will only be sent to a UK address.
Will you pay for repairs I if arrange repair myself?
No – We will only pay for repairs that are undertaken by our approved repairers. We also need to assess the device in order decide whether we are responsible for repairing or replacing it.
Do the repairs or replacements come with a warranty?
Yes. Replacement devices will come with 12 months warranty and all repairs will come with a 3 month warranty.

Logging a claim is quick and easy.
You can log a claim in your customer portal 24 hours per day 365 days of the year.
Alternatively, if you purchased your insurance before the 27th February 2020 you can telephone the insurer PEX Insure on 0203 745 2812. Claims can also be emailed to the insurer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you purchased your insurance after the 27th February 2020 then please telephone the insurer on 0345 074 4810. Claims can also be emailed to the insurer to email@example.com. Alternatively, you can log your claim directly in the gadget claims portal by clicking here.
Please note we do not make any decisions about the acceptance or otherwise of any claim. This is dealt with by your insurer. All claims are handled by Davies Group on behalf of the insurer.
